The moment we have been waiting for has arrived:
WhatsApp has officially revealed that it is adding the option to choose a different background for each conversation (chat), along with a new database of wallpapers that the company has redesigned.
Among other things, you will also find the beloved and familiar background in new colors.
"Make your conversations more personal and help yourself to distinguish between them with custom wallpaper for important conversations and your favorite people. That way you will never be afraid to send the wrong message in the wrong chat," Facebook said in an official statement.
In addition, the company stated that you can also select separate wallpapers for light mode and dark mode settings, so that the background will be automatically replaced with the chats you set up as soon as your device switches from light mode to dark mode - and vice versa.
According to previous reports on the subject, WhatsApp will add a total of 61 wallpapers to the database - 32 light and 29 dark - along with custom wallpapers and solid color.
The goal, of course, is to adjust the look of the app to "Dark Mode" (Dark Mode) more manually and intelligently.
How do I change backgrounds?
Go to Settings in the app - click on "Chats" - and then on a background image in Chat (Chat Wallpaper).
As soon as the update arrives in the coming days, for both
Android
and
iOS
users
, you can find or type in the name of the call or group in which you want to change wallpaper - and choose the background.
