Magistrate Sabine Kheris, in charge of this investigation since 2019, questions Monique Olivier to obtain possible information on the place where the little girl could have been buried, said her lawyer, Me Richard Delgenes.

Investigators must carry out new excavations from Monday in the park of the castle of Sautou, former property of Michel Fourniret in the Ardennes, where the latter had already buried the bodies of two other victims, found in 2004 on his indications.

In June, investigators had already explored this large isolated property, to no avail.

In the hope of "

triggering memories

" in the 78-year-old serial killer, the judge had brought him there at the end of October.

During this five-day trip to the region, Michel Fourniret "

indicated places

" in the Sautou park where the body could be located, according to Me Delgenes.

The new excavations will take place without the presence of Monique Olivier or the “

Ogre des Ardennes

”, hospitalized since his discomfort on November 20 in his cell in Fresnes in Val-de-Marne.

Indicted in November 2019 for "

kidnapping and forcible confinement followed by death

" in this case, Michel Fourniret ended up confessing in March his responsibility, after revelations from his ex-wife who had accused him of having raped and killed the 'child.

The serial killer has been serving an irreducible life sentence since he was convicted in 2008 of the murders of seven young women and teenage girls between 1987 and 2001. He was convicted again in 2018 for a heinous murder.
