Rear-wheel drive, dual and multiple enjoyment in the three versions of Explorer
The rear-wheel drive version uses the same power unit as the dual-paddle Explorer.
This is a 2.3-liter engine series H"akobost "of Ford, with four cylinders and a turbocharger and 300 kW of power passes through the automatic transmission 10-year-old planetary gears.
With giving up the double paddle clearance falling from -20.5 cm to 19.5 cm and the weight at a negligible rate - from 2,131 to 2,071 kg.
The acceleration to 100 km / h is 8.2 seconds (8.5 seconds in the dual-propulsion version) and the maximum speed is the same and stands at 214 km / h.

The price of the rear-wheel drive Explorer cuts NIS 20,000 from the model price so far and stands at NIS 335,000.
This is a version that will allow it to compete more attractively against older tools such as the Chevrolet Traverse with a variety of finish levels and also against two new competitors in this price range - Subaru Evoltis and Toyota Highlander.
Hardens appearance in the ST version
The second version that is added to the offer is the ST, as with its little brother the Edge ST, here too it is the muscle edition that comes from Ford's performance division.
Externally it differs from the regular versions with blackened body parts, such as the front grille, mirror housings, door frames and roof rails and also painting in two shades for the 20-inch rims and behind four exhaust ports.
In the cabin, the main changes are a 12.3-inch digital dashboard and a 10.1-inch multimedia screen, here too the audio system is by B&O but with 14 speakers.
The front seats are deeper and sportier than in the regular version and for the electric adjustment, heating and ventilation an additional massage option.
400 horses live happily behind the grill
But the more interesting piece in the Explorer ST is under the hood.
There it is the 3.0-liter V6 engine "EcoBoost".
Two turbochargers and a handle from Ford's performance division increase the power to 400 hp at 5,500 rpm and a torque of 54.7 kg at 3,500 rpm.
Planetary automatic transmission with 10 transmission ratios and dual propulsion mediated between them and the four 255/55 tires on a 20-inch rim.
