“We hope, Christine and I, our lawyers, that we will finally be able, in the not too distant future, to find a fair solution.

It is necessary out of respect for the memory of Grégory.

Grégory affair: the never-ending story?

The father, remained - like his wife - silent for years, speaking only through the voice of his lawyers but closely following the progress of the investigation into the death of his little boy, signs the last nine pages from the book of one of its defenders, Me Thierry Moser, "Words of lawyers".

"He knows the file perfectly"

The latter has also appeared in as numerous as resounding criminal cases linked to serial killers in recent decades, from the Francis Heaulme case after the double murder of Montigny-lès-Metz, to the Fourniret or Pierre Bodein cases, nicknamed "Pierrot le crazy ”.

In his book, the Alsatian defender, who has been pleading since 1985, has therefore chosen from the first pages to give the floor to the father of little Grégory, who has become his friend over the years.

“He knows the file perfectly.

He's continually working on it.

Jean-Marie knows who said what and when.

[…] We sometimes disagree, but we work together, ”said the lawyer about his client for 35 years, in an interview with Ouest-France at the beginning of the week.

About Christine Villemin, his wife, Thierry Moser slips: “She intervenes more discreetly but, of course, she talks about it extensively with her husband.

Both consider it a sacred duty to seek the truth ”.

36 years of investigation

In this afterword, it is Grégory's father's turn to pay homage to his friend.

"How to sum it up if not by saying that Thierry is a big brother for me with a capital F", he writes, adding that "for more than 30 years, Thierry has fought in a selfless and determined manner".

Since 2017, the 36-year-long investigation into the child's death has been relaunched several times, in particular with the indictments - since canceled due to a formal defect - of the couple Jacob, the great-uncle and Grégory's great aunt, as well as Murielle Bolle, on the basis of expertise in writing and criminal analysis.

But the file had finally had to be put on pause after the numerous legal appeals filed by the defense and the cancellation of a report dating from the first custody in 1984 of Murielle Bolle, determining for the investigation.

At the beginning of December, the new magistrate in charge of the case, according to our information, conducted a series of witness hearings.

About these recent twists and turns, Jean-Marie Villemin writes that they are doing it, with his wife, "to hope for the elucidation of the crime of which our child is the unfortunate victim".
