"Hello World.

Is the thing on? ”With these words, the head of the Twitter alternative Parler, John Matze, which is popular with supporters of the outgoing US President Donald Trump, reported back on Sunday.

The right social network is in good spirits to be completely accessible again by the end of the month, said Matze.

They are working on restoring the functions of the social platform.

According to a report by the Reuters news agency, the quick comeback of the controversial offer was also due to Russian aid.

The Internet expert Ronald Guilmette said that the Internet addresses now used by Parler belonged to the company DDos-Guard, which is run by two Russians.

Parler invokes freedom of expression

DDos-Guard had collaborated with racist websites in the past.

The company has also supported Russian government websites.

Neither Matze nor DDos-Guard have taken a position on this so far.

DDos-Guard has an address in Scotland under the company name Cognitive Cloud LP on its website, said Guilmette.

However, this company belongs to two Russians from Rostov-on-Don.

According to the British Guardian, one of the two men recently said that he was not aware of all of the content that was being distributed about the company.

If Parler was actually supported by Russia, it would be politically sensitive: the country had tried to influence the US presidential election in 2016 in favor of Trump.

Via Parler, in turn, rioters joined forces before the storm on the US Capitol and coordinated the attack.

After the service provider for the server operation dropped out, Parler went offline a good week ago.

A hacker claims that she has backed up much of the data published there, which some users deleted after the riots in Washington.

Before Parler went offline, Amazon, Google, and Apple blocked the Parler app.

The companies stated that the platform did not offer sufficient regulations to protect against dangerous content.

As an example, Amazon cited posts like “Only a dead democrat is a good democrat.

Kill'em all. ”Parler replied that most of the problematic posts had been removed.

Insults - such as against the former First Lady Michelle Obama - are hateful, but protected by the constitution.
