Investigators had however succeeded in demonstrating that the young woman had responded to a real estate ad placed by Jean-Marc Reiser.

These overwhelming clues had been reinforced in January 2019 by the discovery of Sophie Le Tan's DNA on a saw seized in Jean-Marc Reiser's cellar.

The disturbing Internet research of Jean-Marc Reiser

At the end of December, a few days after the end of the investigation, Jean-Marc Reiser, according to our information, wrote a letter to the investigating magistrate to tell him that he "had important revelations to make about the death. by Sophie Le Tan ”.

Summoned this Tuesday morning to the Strasbourg courthouse, Jean-Marc Reiser, according to a source familiar with the matter, explained that an argument had broken out with the young girl during the visit to the apartment.

Gained by “a very strong feeling of frustration”, he would have totally “lost control” and hit Sophie Le Tan for several seconds, without initially intending to kill her.

He then dismembered the body of the young woman before hiding the remains of the body in the forest of Rosheim in the Bas-Rhin.

This major rebound should logically postpone the closing of the investigation which was scheduled for this month of January.
