Vaccination: can we register anywhere and several times, as an elected official regrets?

2021-01-19T18:05:07.203Z

THE VERIFICATION - Vincent Jeanbrun, the mayor of the municipality of Haÿ-les-roses (Val-de-Marne), attributed the saturation of registrations to the anti-covid vaccine to a lack of organization, affirming that it was possible to register "everywhere and several times".

THE QUESTION.

Is vaccination registration organized enough to avoid traffic jams?

A few hours were enough, when the reservations for vaccination were opened for those over 75, Friday, January 15, for the system to be saturated.

On online platforms, like Doctolib, most vaccination centers are full for the coming weeks.

Those who try to get an appointment over the phone often come across an answering machine.

In other words, getting a dose of anti-Covid vaccine in the coming days is an achievement.

How to explain this saturation?

A lack of dose?

Bug when booking?

On BFM TV, Vincent Jeanbrun, the mayor of the municipality of Haÿ-les-roses in Val-de-Marne, launched an

“appeal to the State”

to reorganize the reservation system: 4,000 people had registered Friday to be vaccinated in the town ... For only 25 doses available Monday.

“The problem is that you can register anywhere, and multiple times.

Among those registered, I have Parisians, inhabitants of Hauts-de-Seine, and even, who knows why, of Saint-Malo!

And out of the 4000 registered, how many duplicates? "

, castigates the mayor.

At a time when vaccine doses are carefully counted and rationed, would it be possible to register and unsubscribe anywhere, and at will?

CHECKS.

"Amplify, accelerate, simplify"

.

By opening, from January 18, vaccination to 6.4 million French people, the executive wanted to make vaccination as intuitive as possible.

No more

vaccinodromes, military protocols and red tape: registration is done on private platforms familiar to the French (Doctolib, Maiia, Keldoc),

via

the toll-free number 0800 009 110 or on the national site sante.fr.

Registration thus benefits from the flexibility of these sites, in particular by choosing the place of the meeting.

Including at the other end of France, if you find availability there.

"It is possible to be vaccinated in the center of your choice"

, confirmed the Directorate General of Health in

Figaro

.

"We therefore call on everyone to be responsible so as not to saturate the reservation system

,

"

recalls the DGS.

Practice… At the risk of saturating certain vaccination centers and creating an imbalance.

As for booking an appointment with the dentist or osteopath, it is possible on these platforms to block several slots for one and the same person, and to cancel them at will.

It is quite possible to make several appointments for one person on doctolib.

Le Figaro

Let's try.

On Doctolib this Tuesday, November 19, we are reserving a vaccination for a fictitious Annie Dupré, aged over 75, at the vaccination center of the CHRU in Strasbourg.

A few minutes later, we block a new meeting in Morteau, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, on February 1 - before of course canceling them.

"There is no national instruction on this subject, and the platform does not ask for an identity card to register,"

Doctolib indicates to

Figaro

.

"However, the vaccination centers which so wish can configure the site to prioritize patients"

, specifies the platform.

Prioritizations at the local level

Thus, some elected officials have decided to prioritize the doses of vaccine to the elderly in their municipalities, in order to avoid long journeys and to ensure a certain equity.

At the Montargis vaccination center (Center-Val-de-Loire), which covers the agglomeration of the city and three communal communities, a quota system was put in place this week to distribute the first doses per village according to their demographic weight.

"We have decided to call the elderly people concerned directly to suggest that they register,

" explains Mayor Benoît Digeon.

“This made it possible to anticipate platform bugs and provide the elderly in the area with a dose of vaccine.

To organize the vaccination campaign more strictly, the mayor of Hay-les-roses Vincent Jeanbrun calls for the creation of

"a vaccination card like a school card, which assigns a school by district ”

, and to a

“ central file of vaccinated people. ”

For the moment, a register of vaccinated people does exist

a posteriori

of the injection: the Covid Vaccine service, put into service on January 4, makes it possible to ensure traceability of the vaccination, in particular to monitor side effects.

"These anonymized data will be made public in a few days,"

says the Directorate General of Health. However, it is not a preliminary list of people to be vaccinated. Vaccination being optional and extended over several weeks, it seems difficult to establish a fixed and unique list of people who wish to be vaccinated in order to organize registrations.

"Elected officials have opened too many meeting slots hoping to have more doses. We have no hidden stock

,

said Minister of Health Olivier Véran on

France inter

. So it's up to them to distribute and prioritize the doses? The mayor of Amilly, in Loiret, solved the problem by deciding to draw lots among the elderly in his town to distribute the doses, indicates France Bleu.
