The investigation into the charges of incest against Olivier Duhamel is progressing.

According to sources close to the investigation, the police from the Paris PJ's minors protection brigade (BPM) interviewed the main declared victim this Thursday morning, the son-in-law of the influential former political scientist.

In a recently published book entitled "La Familia grande", her twin sister Camille Kouchner recounts that her brother, whom she refers to under the pseudonym "Victor", was sexually abused on numerous occasions in the late 1980s by his stepfather when he was a teenager.

This prompted the Paris prosecutor's office to open an investigation for “rape and sexual assault” by ascendant and minor.

What Camille Kouchner's book on incest reveals

According to our information, "Victor", now in his forties, confirmed to investigators the facts related by his sister in her book.

Son of the former minister Bernard Kouchner, the forty-something had been brought up by his stepfather Olivier Duhamel, with whom his mother Evelyne Pisier had remarried, in a leftist bourgeois intellectual environment with very uninhibited manners.

The renowned political scientist would have used to break into "Victor" 's room at night when he was 13, for at least two and a half years, in order to sexually abuse him.

At the end of the hearing this Thursday, he filed a complaint against the constitutional expert.

"Victor" had already been heard by specialized investigators in 2011 as part of a first investigation closed without follow-up.

But then he did not wish to file a complaint and asked that justice not interfere in family matters.

At the time, the BPM had been alerted to possible acts of incest committed by Olivier Duhamel by gendarmes from the south of France who were investigating the suicide of actress Marie-France Pisier, aunt of "Victor", in Saint -Cyr-sur-Mer (Var).

The soldiers had heard of this family secret which would have caused friction between the Pisier sisters.

Camille Kouchner about Olivier Duhamel: "I do not forgive him"

As it stands, the new investigation by the Paris prosecutor's office targeting Olivier Duhamel comes up against a very probable prescription of the facts.

Since its opening on January 5, 2020, the police have stepped up hearings to document the charges of incest.

They notably heard Camille Kouchner, author of the book, on January 14.

According to a person close to the investigations, the investigators are faced with the reluctance of several personalities, potentially aware of the accusations, who would hesitate to testify so as not to appear publicly.

At this stage, the political scientist, who resigned following the scandal of the head of the National Foundation of Political Sciences (FNSP), which oversees Sciences Po, the club of influence "Le Siècle", or LCI or Europe 1, was not heard by the police.

He is currently in Switzerland after having made a return trip to his holiday home in Sanary-sur-Mer (Var).

Simon, his adopted son of Chilean origin, reportedly visited him early last week.

For the moment, no search has been carried out insofar as the facts are prescribed, there is no urgency.

The BPM investigation also aims to identify any other potential victims.
