"It will generate strong winds but will also bring rains which, by accumulation on saturated soils, could cause some flooding"
, indicates the Weather Channel in a

It will first strike a southwest quarter in the morning before heading towards the Massif Central, the Alps and the Mediterranean.
The weather channel provides for
"possible gusts of up to 150 km / h on the Aquitaine coast"
and 80 to 120 km / h in the land between the Gironde, Lot-et-Garonne and Landes.
The storm is expected to decrease in intensity over Nouvelle-Aquitaine in the afternoon.
Conversely, it will strengthen at the front in Roussillon and will touch western Corsica at the end of the afternoon.
The Isle of Beauty should also always be affected by this degradation on Saturday.
The Weather Channel expects
"stormy winds until Saturday, but also heavy precipitation in the west as well as heavy snowfall in the mountains from 1000m".
Winds with peaks of 170 km / h over Cap Corse and 130 km / h in the mountains are to be expected, associated with cumulative rainfall of more than 100 mm below 1000 m and heavy snowfall.
This Thursday evening, the Weather Channel placed five departments on orange wind alert: Landes, Lot-et-Garonne, Corse-du-Sud, Haute-Corse and Gironde.
