Facebook today (Monday) suspended a bot operating on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Facebook page, after it encouraged people to share with the page details of people aged 60 and over who have not yet been vaccinated against Corona.

A message posted by the bot in the prime minister's page's chat stated that Netanyahu may call those people to encourage them to get vaccinated: "If you have friends or family members aged 60 or older who have not yet been vaccinated, you can write me here in response a name and phone number and I may call Convince them! "

In response, Facebook suspended the possibility of chatting with the page because the bot violated the company's policy on maintaining the medical privacy of its members.

In fact, sharing such details would have revealed information about them to the Prime Minister's headquarters and to the entire public, which would infringe on the privacy of those users.

"In accordance with our privacy policy, we do not allow content sharing or requesting medical information from people. Following the violation of these rules, we removed the post and temporarily suspended the chatbot in the messenger that shared this content."

The Likud movement responded: "The goal was to encourage Israelis over the age of 60 to get vaccinated to save their lives, after Prime Minister Netanyahu brought vaccines to every Israeli citizen. We call on everyone to get vaccinated so that we can open up the economy and be the first to emerge from the corona."
