An investigation for assassination was opened after the discovery of the body of a woman "killed by gun" in Wolfgantzen (Haut-Rhin), announced Wednesday the public prosecutor of Colmar, Catherine Sorita-Minard.
The lifeless body of this woman "born in 1981" was discovered Tuesday around 6:30 pm in her vehicle parked in the parking lot of the company, where she worked, indicates the magistrate in a press release.
These are "other employees" of this company who discovered it, she said.
According to the regional newspaper L'Alsace, it is the Knauf company and the victim's car was in the outdoor parking lot.
New autopsy scheduled for Friday
According to the first elements noted by the forensic scientist, "the victim was killed by a firearm", added Catherine Sorita-Minard, who opened a "flagrant investigation for murder".
Jean-Louis Herbaut, mayor of Wolfgantzen, told France 3 Haut-Rhin "that the victim is a long-time employee of Knauf and that she lived in Orschwihr".
The prosecutor indicated having seized the research section of the Gendarmerie of Strasbourg as well as the research brigade of the gendarmerie of Colmar in order to determine "the precise circumstances of these facts".
