Actor Shaul Elias, who starred in the "80s" series and in Avi Bitter's films, died today at the age of 58, after battling pneumonia and being connected to an oxygen machine.

His niece: "Yesterday an ambulance came to his house but he did not want to go to the hospital. This morning my uncle found him dead. It was not picked up."

Actor Shaul Elias died today (Friday) at his home in Tel Aviv after battling pneumonia.

He was 58 at the time of his death.

His niece Lilach told Walla!

In April 2019, Elias told the network's "All Inclusive" program presented by Sivan Cohen that he has been confined to his home for about two years due to a connection to the oxygen machine.

"Two years ago I had pneumonia, and I'm connected to oxygen for 24 hours," he said. "I do not interest them. In Social Security they do not give me the percentage I need. I just suffer. There is also no one to help me. I barely get out of bed to make myself something to eat. I hardly eat. And I do nothing, all day at home in bed.
