Falling asleep in front of Netflix?

The following feature is for you.

The streaming giant has announced that it will begin an experiment with Android devices, which will allow the company's subscribers to limit the duration of viewing the platform.

The feature will allow you to choose between four fixed times: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes or until the end of the episode.

At the end of the selected time, Netflix will stop showing the series or movie.

In theory, the feature is designed to preserve the battery life of the Android device, and also to ensure that the series will not continue for additional episodes, in cases where the viewer falls asleep.

As mentioned, this is a feature that is being tested and not available on all Android devices.

However, Netflix has already said that it may bring the feature to other devices such as TVs and also to the web interface, in case users are satisfied with the new feature.

To use the timer, select a movie or series via your Android smartphone and in the upper right corner, you will find a "timer".

Click on it, and choose between 15,30, 45 minutes or until the series or movie ends.

At the moment, the timer is only available in "adult" interfaces, ie not in children's interfaces, although this is a perfect feature for young people.

The company said that in the future, the profiles intended for children will also receive the timer, but of course depending on how it will be received in the current trial version.
