The trailer for the movie "Curse of Chucky"

Texas residents were alarmed by a repeat amber alert (an alert triggered when there is a fear of child abduction), sent from the Department of Public Safety (DPS) that the murderous puppet Chuckie from the movie "Children's Game" is wanted for kidnapping a child at knife threats.

On Friday, Jan. 29 (not the 13th, though requested), the Texas Department of Public Safety issued 3 alerts in the amber alert system sent by email that the doll Chuckie is suspected of kidnapping a child, whose details are even more surprising.

The information released states that the missing child is Glenn, Chuckie's kind-hearted son from the fourth film in the series, "Chuckie's Heir".

The alerts included accurate descriptions of the two dolls.

Chuckie was described as a 28-year-old man with blue eyes and red or auburn hair.

It was noted that he was 94 centimeters tall and weighed 7 kilograms.

Under "Race" is written "Other: Doll".

The alert also accurately described his attire: "A blue denim overall, a colorful striped shirt with sleeves. A huge kitchen knife bearer."

Glenn, his son in the film, is depicted as a 5-year-old male with blue eyes and red or auburn hair, recently seen in a blue shirt with a black collar.

Unlike his father, under "race" is written "white."

The notice said Chuckie and Glenn were recently seen at a residential address in Henderson, Texas, a city about 210 miles southeast of Dallas.

Last Wednesday, when a call was made to the phone number associated with this address, a woman who said she was aware of the alert that came out on the subject but refused to expand and hung up.

Don Mancini, the director and screenwriter who created the character of Chuckie, shared an article on the Twitter alert and wrote: "Please find them."

So is Chuckie really roaming the streets of Texas for free?

The CBS network in Dallas-Fort Worth reported that it was later revealed that the alerts were sent by mistake.

"This alert is the result of a malfunction in the investigation," the DPS told several media outlets in an official statement, "We apologize for the confusion and work diligently to ensure that such a thing does not happen again."

The department did not respond to questions about the number of people who received the alert or the circumstances that led to its sending.

Not all subscribers seem to have received the wrong email alert. Some Texas residents who receive amber alerts on "push" updates on smartphones have said they did not receive the "chucky warning" even though they subscribed

to the cult film "Kids Games" released in the '5s. 80's 6 sequels have been produced, a remake, and this year, as Chuckie used to say, he's expected to return in a new series to be named after him, "Chuckie."
