The crash of a civilian helicopter on the heights of Courchevel (Savoie) left, according to a provisional report, two dead and three injured, some of them in absolute urgency, announced on Tuesday the gendarmes and the prefecture of Savoie.
The civilian helicopter took off from Courchevel at 3:41 p.m. with five people on board, said the soldiers, who had no immediate further information on the identity of the victims or the type of device used.
The aircraft crashed on the ridges of Mont Charvet, on the heights of Lake Rosière, around 5:20 p.m.
The emergency services were alerted by witnesses.
Sater plan triggered
A team from the high mountain gendarmerie platoon (PGHM) was dispatched to the scene, and the Sater plan, which aims to search for air accident victims, was triggered.
On December 8, the crash of a French Air Service (SAF) helicopter near Albertville left five dead and one injured.
The aircraft carried rescuers who were carrying out training.
