Avi Koren, a songwriter, translator, stage writer and radio personality, passed away tonight (Thursday) at the age of 75 after a battle with cancer.

Koren, winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Israel Artists Association and the ACUM Award for his contribution to Hebrew song, began his career in the entertainment industry in the Nahal band of the early 1960s.
