  • England inaugurates mandatory hotel quarantine

From this Monday, residents from countries classified at risk will have to remain in quarantine at the hotel.

The aim is to limit the importation of new Brazilian and South African variants.

  • 15 million vaccinated in the UK

The British Prime Minister congratulated himself on having vaccinated 15 million people, grouping together the four most vulnerable categories, including the elderly and those most exposed to the virus.

  • In France, the number of patients in intensive care is declining

Public Health France identified, Sunday, 16,546 new contaminations in 24 hours, against 21,231 the day before.

At the same time, the number of intensive care admissions is declining.

Hospitals admitted 113 new people, against 191 the day before.

The total number of new patients with Covid admitted to hospital remains stable: 3,399 against 3,294 the day before.

The test positivity rate is also unchanged at 6%, the lowest rate since January 8.

167 new people have died from Covid, bringing the total number of Covid-19 victims to 81,814 since the start of the epidemic.
