More than 25,000 new contaminations were detected in France in 24 hours.

These 25,018 new cases bring the total number of people positive for Covid-19 to 3,514,147 this Wednesday, February 17, according to figures published by Public Health France.

The country has deplored 311 deaths since the day before in hospital, bringing the total to 58,888 deaths from the coronavirus.

For the third consecutive day, the positivity rate remains at 5.9%.

Hospitals received 1,555 new patients with Covid-19, including 309 in intensive care between Tuesday and Wednesday, as specified by the Ministry of Health.

To date, 3,329,461 anti-Covid-19 vaccinations have been carried out, first and second doses combined, including 166,826 in the last 24 hours.

2,406,172 people received a first injection since the launch of the vaccination campaign in France and 923,289 the second.
