With the new Mclaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA) at its core, Artura is also testimony in the field of Mclaren's commitment to super-light engineering, developed to offer exceptional levels of performance, also supported by a new hybrid powertrain featuring of a new V6 engine.

"Every drop of Mclaren experience and expertise - explained Mike Flewitt, CEO of Mclaren Automotive - has been poured into the Artura. Our new high-performance hybrid offers all the performance and dynamic excellence for which Mclaren is renowned, with the added benefit of electric driving capability.

The introduction of the Artura is a landmark moment not only for Mclaren, or for our customers who will enjoy this car, but also for the wider sector. "The art of engineering under the skin of the dell'Artura is complemented by the its exterior design. Artura's lines are sculpted to optimize performance and manage airflow for the benefit of aerodynamic and cooling performance. Inside, occupants will find a revolution in terms of design, with a vision oriented all around to the driver. Ergonomics have been carefully thought out. As a result, the steering wheel is kept away from unnecessary switches and the driver is able to adjust driving modes without taking his hands off the wheel. A new infotainment and connectivity system by Mclaren uses two high-definition screens. The driver can choose from four Powertrain modes, including an electric mode that allows up to 30km of emission-free driving.

Comfort mode maximizes efficiency, with the combustion engine off at less than 40km / h and using an extended stop and start mode.

In Sport and Track modes, the electric power is distributed to maximize the performance that is a true supercar: the maximum speed is 'limited' to 330 Km / h, the acceleration is from 0 to 100 Km / h in 3 seconds, while it takes 8.3 seconds to reach 200 km / h, time that goes up to 21.5 seconds to reach 300 km / h.

The electric unit is powered by a 7.4 kWh battery that allows an autonomy in electric only up to 30 km (in EV the maximum speed is limited to 130 km / h).

On the charging front, 80% of the capacity is reached in about 2.5 hours.

Pre-orders of the new Mclaren Artura are open at retailers and the first deliveries to customers are expected in the third quarter of 2021.
