Icelandic trivia contestant took the loss hard and raged in the studio (Gettu Betur)

We've already seen a lot of reactions to mistakes in TV shows, but we haven't seen one yet: In the video above you can watch the scary moment he faces a trivia competition between Icelandic high schools knocked out a violent tantrum and left the studio in a storm - only because the opposing team answered the winning question correctly.

The disgruntled student, named John Yorde Goodsman, participated in the TV show Gettu Betur - which is in free translation "better snake".

When the opposing team was crowned the winner he could not hide his anger - he smashed a glass on the floor before he jumped to his feet, shook the stage on which he stood and splashed water towards his teammates.

He then stormed out of the studio and was heard continuing to cause chaos even outside the camera.

A video from the show, which aired on the network on February 19, shows the head of the 'red' team from the Technikskolin High School in Reykjavík, seconds after answering the last question in the competition - which dealt with tennis players.

There is a brief pause before the presenter, Christiana Arnardetta, nods and confirms that he is right and then the audience in the studio bursts into applause.

But not everyone was happy.

John, who is a member of the rival group from Fjölbrautaskólinn við Ármúli, also from Reykjavík, reacted angrily.

He grabbed the glass of water sitting on his podium and threw it aggressively toward the center of the studio.

His friends look in shock as the glass shatters - but he has not yet finished his tantrum - he immediately gets to his feet and pushes his stand.

His team leader tries to calm him down but without success and John grabs another glass - this time from his team leader - and splashes the water towards his teammates.

In the video you can hear the glass shattering as John storms out of the studio and continues the commotion not even in front of the cameras.

At this point the camera switches to the presenter who is trying to continue the show despite the ongoing behind-the-scenes interruptions.

In Iceland, they actually understand him

Fortunately, one viewer who understands Icelandic helped everyone understand what exactly happened there and explained on Twitter that the violent outburst occurred after the opposing team answered the correct answer ‘millisecond’ before John answered it.

"The red team answers the correct answer that wins the game for them, probably by a thousandth of a second by pressing the buzzer, and the presenter confirms that this is the correct answer.

Then the presenter says they have a result in the game and offers to go to commercials. "

After the segment from the show went viral on social media, Twitter surfers noted that viewers in Iceland actually showed understanding for John's outburst." The general reaction among Icelanders is empathy and concern for a gentle young man who can not cope with the situation, "wrote a resident of Iceland.

another surfer told about the pressure that people are in it during the competitions:" it is very painful to lose in such a program after going through long training and preparation. "There were Icelanders more who watched the show and said to consider John was" absolutely fantastic "Throughout the competition, though others raised concerns about the violent outburst that frightened all involved.
