New Mercedes C-Class

Thanks to the mild hybrid drive with 48 volt technology, the integrated starter alternator and plug-in hybrid technology, the New C-Class is the first Mercedes-Benz range to be fully electrified.

The highly efficient battery system gives the plug-in hybrid car an electric range of almost 100 kilometers (WLTP), a value never before achieved in this category.

At the same time it sets benchmarks in terms of sustainability.

And since the C-Class is one of Mercedes-Benz's most successful series, this systematic electrification will have a noticeable effect on the CO2 footprint.

Orderable from 30 March with the first units arriving in the summer, the new C-Class is available in six versions for the Italian market: Business, Sport, Premium, Sport Plus, Premium Plus and Premium Pro.

The design is sensual and sporty at the same time, without sacrificing that elegance typical of the cars of the Star.

Combining the short front overhang, the long wheelbase and the rear overhang, the new C-Class communicates dynamic proportions from a standstill.

This momentum is underlined by the sporty engine hood equipped with power domes.

The windshield and passenger compartment are moved to the rear in the "cab backward" design that identifies this type of classic proportions.

In the cockpit, the previous model had already taken a big step forward in terms of refinement.

The new C-Class goes even further: the interior borrows elements of the new S-Class, but enriches them with a sporty note.

To underline the sportiness of the exterior elements such as the wide track and the wheels mounted flush with the wheel arches (in the format from 17 to 19 inches) with a modern design.

The brand-typical radiator grille distinguishes the front.

All models have a central star, while the finish and the character of the grille differ in the details: the basic model, for example, has a central star with slats, while in the Avantgarde aesthetic the slats are enriched with decorative elements and the grille of the radiator is embellished with a chrome frame.

The hallmark of the AMG Line styling is the Matrix radiator grille in a star design with a chrome finish.

The tail has the typical shape of Mercedes-Benz sedans.

The interiors strongly recall luxury: the dashboard is divided into an upper and a lower part;

an airfoil with new flattened round vents reminiscent of aircraft turbines and a rich surface that houses the decorative elements and that rises seamlessly from the center console to the instrument panel.

The orientation of the dashboard towards the driver communicates sportiness: the instrument panel and central display, in fact, are rotated six degrees towards the steering wheel.

The driver's area houses a high-resolution LCD screen that appears to hover in front of the airfoil and trim plane.

In this way the driver display differs from the traditional dashboard, with classic circular instruments.

In Italy the standard screen is 12.3 inches (31.2 cm).

The paradigm shift towards digital is also evident in the central display: the vehicle functions can be managed with the touchscreen.

Its vertical format offers significant advantages, especially for navigation.

The center display has a screen diagonal of 11.9 inches or 30.2 cm as standard, and is standard for all versions.

Like the new S-Class, the C-Class also adopts the second generation of MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience).

A significant step forward has been made in both hardware and software to make the passenger compartment even more digital and intelligent: the brilliant LCD screens make it easier to control the comfort functions and the car.
