Mexico and Argentina are collaborating with the Anglo-Swedish laboratory AstraZeneca for the production of some 200 million doses of its vaccine developed by the University of Oxford, which will be sold on the Latin American market.
Argentina is responsible for the production of the active substance while Mexico is in charge of packaging.
