The daily figures for hospitalizations and intensive care of Covid-19 patients remained stable on Friday with 25,130 hospitalized patients including 3,445 in intensive care.

25,207 new contaminations were detected in France in 24 hours, according to figures published this Friday, against 25,403 the day before.

France now has 3,712,020 cases of Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic.

286 people have died since the day before in hospital, bringing the total to 86,147 deaths from the coronavirus.

The daily figures for hospitalizations and intensive care of Covid-19 patients remained stable on Friday, according to data from Public Health France, despite fears of an outbreak of new cases in many departments.

Hospitals had 25,130 patients sick with Covid-19, against 25,317 on Thursday.

The admissions figure over the last 24 hours was 1,634 compared to 1,454 the day before.

Same scenario for the intensive care units which remain under high tension with 3445 patients on Friday (3430 Thursday).

The number of new admissions to these services has remained on the trend of the last few days, with 303 patients admitted over the last 24 hours (301 the day before).

The figures for the last seven days, which allow the data to be smoothed out, remain stable with 9,482 new hospitalizations over a week, including 1,826 in the intensive care units.

These data are of the same order as those of the previous week, from February 8 to 14.

The positivity rate continues, however, to climb, to 7.1% against 6.9% Thursday.

It thus returns to the 2021 high (7.1%) recorded at the end of January.

On the vaccination front, on which the authorities are basing all their hopes to reduce the strain on hospital services, just over 2.8 million people have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and among them 1.4 million received two doses.
