A 57-year-old woman diagnosed with schizophrenia admitted having slaughtered a man on Monday in Grenoble.
She was the subject of a compulsory hospitalization measure.
The fifty-year-old, "followed psychiatrically", had been placed in custody Thursday by the judicial police, reports Friday Eric Vaillant, public prosecutor in Grenoble.
"She admitted in the presence of her lawyer having slaughtered" the victim, a 52-year-old man, "because voices asked her to do so", continues the magistrate in a press release, specifying that "other elements corroborate his statements "And that" the doctors decided this day of his complete hospitalization under constraint ".

The victim, unknown to the police, resided in a popular area of the city.
Called Monday in the middle of the day, the emergency services had tried unsuccessfully to revive this man who was on the public road and was bleeding heavily in the neck.
A cutter had been found nearby, described by the police as being "probably the murder weapon".
The prosecution has opened a judicial investigation for "murder" and an expertise will be carried out to determine the criminal responsibility of the accused.
