Attempted assassination of a coach: the drift of a business leader who dreamed of being barbouze

2021-02-28T06:10:30.734Z

Indicted on February 2, Jean-Luc B., 64, admitted to being the sponsor of an assassination contract targeting Marie-Hélène Dini, his riva

“During this whole period, I had a loss of sense of reality: to distinguish between good and bad, what is acceptable and not is not.

[…]

I am in burnout.

“This February 1, the dynamic and confident boss, dashing in his sixties with a shaved head, has lost his luster.

After four days in police custody, Jean-Luc B., 64, has just delivered a terrible confession to the police of the Paris criminal brigade.

He is indeed the man who sponsored the “neutralization” of Marie-Hélène Dini, his main competitor in corporate coaching.

He accuses his rival, targeted by an assassination attempt, on July 24, 2020 in Créteil (Val-de-Marne), by two soldiers of the DGSE, of wanting to regulate the profession, which would be synonymous with loss of figures of business for him.

“I was in a state of extreme mental load, worn out from my work.

Completely consumed ”, explains Jean-Luc B., between two regrets.

Nine people are now indicted, including seven imprisoned in this case.

With the confession of Jean-Luc B., the investigators think they have put an end to this story which mixes naive and manipulated DGSE soldiers, unscrupulous former domestic intelligence police officers and private security specialists experienced in execution of deadly contracts.

A complex structure, linked by business and Freemasonry.

The investigations on the alleged sponsor have shed light on the drift of a man won by a feeling of omnipotence, a manager of a coaching company overtaken by his devouring ambition and his barbouz friendships.

"To intimidate someone costs 10,000 euros"

If Jean-Luc B. was indicted and imprisoned on February 2, the police harbored suspicions about him very early on.

To the point, according to our information, to place it on wiretaps in the summer of 2020, barely a month after the attempted murder targeting Marie-Hélène Dini!

Heard at the Crim a few hours after having escaped death, the coach indeed cites Jean-Luc B. as a potential person wanting him harm because of their notorious professional tensions.

Above all, on August 28, 2020, she appears a second time in front of the investigators to tell them a much more disturbing episode.

In this deposition, which had remained outside the procedure for a long time, she revealed that she had met the ex-partner and companion of Jean-Luc B. the same day to probe her about her personality.

This would have made him shattering revelations.

“She told me that the company

[of Jean-Luc B., Editor's note]

is infiltrated by a Freemasonry lodge, returns Marie-Hélène Dini to the police.

[…]

Jean-Luc would have told him that intimidating someone was easy, it costs 10,000 euros.

This woman even told him to have seen weapons in the premises of the company.

Heard in turn, the witness confirms the confidences made to the coach and paints a chilling portrait of her former partner, whom she accuses of multiple embezzlement and violent threats against him.

"In October 2018, Jean-Luc shows me a long weapon with a telescopic sight and he says to me

with that, I shoot someone a kilometer away

, pointing the weapon in the direction of my daughters' college", relates she to the Crim.

"What is it, James Bond?"

The investigators then decide to explore the troubled past of this suspect with a thousand lives: before founding in 2007 his coaching and training company, which employs around thirty people, Jean-Luc B. was a mason, welder in a factory. of tomato paste, EDF technician and producer of advertising films.

In a report, the police describe a "business leader respected by his peers and his employees" whose "word is listened to" and having "a taste for a job well done".

Installed in his comfortable home surrounded by lavender fields in Valensole (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), this freemason, father of five children, pays himself 16,000 euros per month.

But the investigators also discover that he is in telephone contact with two private security companies, including a Swiss, both in connection with a key suspect in the case: Sébastien L. Indicted in July 2020, this specialist in the Close Protection is suspected of having been tasked with performing the contract for Marie-Hélène Dini.

To do this, he recruited the two soldiers of the DGSE as henchmen, convinced that it was a state mission aimed at eliminating a "Mossad spy" ...

But on tapping, Jean-Luc B. is discreet.

He feigns surprise to his collaborators when he talks about the misadventure of his main rival told in the press.

“I find that implausible!

[…]

What is it, James Bond?

", He launched in a discussion on September 8, suggesting that it could be a" publicity stunt ".

The man is even cynical, claiming not to "empathize" with the fate of his colleague.

"And Marie-Hélène Dini, but who remains hidden under the table as usual!"

He laughs during a call with an employee.

A recluse life with the survivalist manual

However, the man feels cornered since the arrest of the executors and the alleged intermediaries of the dispensary by the Crim.

He met Frédéric V., “brother” of the lodge suspected of being his main accomplice on several occasions, including once in Geneva (Switzerland).

It was to this 49-year-old private security specialist, whom he nicknamed “007”, that he entrusted the contract for Marie-Hélène Dini.

At the end of January, the two friends were finally arrested after being denounced by another member of the network, a former policeman of the DCRI (internal intelligence) of the same Masonic obedience.

During various searches, in particular at the home of Jean-Luc B. in Valensole, the investigators discover that the latter lives "recluse" like a survivalist.

They note "a large quantity of food and alcohol as well as numerous waterproof cans containing dishes made from pasta" and, as a bedside booklet, "the manual of the survivalist fighter in an urban environment ..."

By exploiting the telephones of Jean-Luc B. and Frédéric V., the police officers note that the two friends exchange in a coarsely coded way using the lexicon of gardening.

"My TCF

(very dear brother, Editor's note)

, I received other mushrooms for you", writes on Viber Frédéric V. to his friend.

"Morels?

», Replied the coach.

Implied: ammunition.

"In my opinion, you type it easily ...", launches Jean-Luc B. to his companion in another message accompanied by a YouTube video of a speech by Marie-Hélène Dini.

A "little signal" sent and an arson attack

In custody, the two men end up sitting down to eat.

We discover that they sealed their friendship within the Athanor Masonic Lodge, in Hauts-de-Seine, several years ago.

That Jean-Luc B. is fascinated by the private security activities of Frédéric V.: “Seeing him in front of me for months, years, circulating with a weapon on his belt, being able to obtain sensitive information, turned me a little head, ”he told investigators, describing“ a hold ”.

Thus, he says he bought him a Glock 4000 euros as well as hundreds of ammunition that he had delivered by the financial director of his coaching company, without his knowledge ...

But Frédéric V. goes further for his “brother”.

In front of the investigators, Jean-Luc B. admits without complex having charged him with a first intimidation mission against the sister of his ex-companion and partner, in April 2019. The victim is then himself employed in his coaching company.

At the time, Jean-Luc B. was in dispute with the two women about the buyout of their company shares.

[Frédéric V.]

told me that there was a very simple signal.

Puncture the tires, break the windshields to send a small signal, ”explains Jean-Luc B. to investigators.

Finally, the car of the coach's sister-in-law was set on fire in Bièvres (Essonne).

But the disaster spreads to his house to the point of destroying it completely.

“His family almost died,” assures the ex-companion of Jean-Luc B. to the police.

The Paris public prosecutor's office has just opened investigations into this arson as part of a supplementary indictment.

A 70,000 euro assassination contract

As for the project of assassination of Marie-Hélène Dini, it would have been validated in June 2020 in a restaurant in Lyon (Rhône) after initial missions of "lobbying" and computer theft.

[Jean-Luc B.]

spoke to me for months

[…]

about Dini's companies, about the death of coaching, about the influence Dini wanted to gain in relation to companies and his union,” says Frédéric V. police officers.

He put his head up and was sure she was in charge of everything.

"

"Convinced of protecting the profession", "in full mental confusion" in his words, Jean-Luc B. agreed during this lunch to pay 70,000 euros to his friend to execute the coach.

The height of cynicism, he draws from his company's cash flow and overcharges the mission under training titles: "Health impact assessment", "marketing educational support" ...

Before being miraculously challenged on the report of a neighbor.
