On average, a doctor follows more than 12,000 students, but, according to the report of the Court of Auditors published last spring, in 19 departments (Aisne, Haute-Corse, Yonne, Gers ...), they are more than 20,000 students under the responsibility of a doctor.
The most catastrophic situation is in the Cher, where 47,000 students share a full-time equivalent doctor, when, in the Lot, there are only 6,464… In the Indre, there are simply no more school doctor.
