Promo The last episode of the first season of "Rehearsals" (here 11)

In one of the episodes of "Rehearsals", the playwright Iris Stiebel - the daughter of Noa Koller - is just before the premiere of her play and everything sucks for her.

Sad and frustrated, she gets in her brother's car and asks him to take her to a place where she can scream.

"I want to scream," she says with heartbreaking simplicity and eyes closed.

When they reach a grove where she can finally scream her frustrations, she tries and fails.

Just like in the first episode where the sudden breakup from her partner raises her head and she kneels in front of the toilet and tries to vomit without success.

These are two great scenes that are written and performed with surgical sincerity that manage to be truly touching and also incredibly comedic.

When the disturbing messages that Driggs sent to women on social media were published, it can be assumed that Koller wanted to scream, or vomit.

Maybe both.

Although she said Driggs shared with her his sex addiction and his dealings with her (Driggs is not only a co-creator, he is also a friend and former partner of Koller), it was certainly not easy to see the content or scope of these posts.

So many reports and reports.

Everyone was waiting for Koller's response.

And when it came she did not disappoint.

As on screen, also in life Koller was able to distill the right words and feelings.

Koller, a talented and unique actress and writer, once again managed to convey in simple and honest words the pain, disappointment and also unreserved support for the victims, without renouncing company and co-creator Driggs.

Even her reference to the future of "Rehearsals" was stamped on Pony: "As for the continuation of 'Rehearsals' I have nothing to say at the moment, it does not seem important to me, and I really ran out of words. The work is not as important as life. "- Article.

Less than two weeks passed and a pile of steaming cow dung landed on the series again.

Even more serious allegations were made against another player in "Rehearsals" - Shmil Ben-Ari.

Actresses and extras in shows and productions said he had sexually assaulted them in the past during the joint work.

Let's put something very important on the table: there is no question here who are the main victims of the Driggs case and also of Mill Ben-Ari.

Women who have been repeatedly harassed with sexually explicit messages, even after asking Madrigas to stop, or women who have touched their bodies without permission and against their will are the victims.

point.

But there are also secondary victims, and I'm not talking about the abusive men.

They can eat their porridge and have an appetite.

But Noa Koller does not deserve to lose everything she worked so hard and good for him.

We do not deserve to lose rehearsals.

Success does not come easily to Koller.

She worked very hard and for quite a few years to get to where she is today.

Or rather where she was two weeks ago.

Because she is currently buried beneath the ruins of the peripheral damage of Driggs and Ben-Ari.

She has acted in small plays and played quite a few roles in movies and series that made her face quite familiar but not famous, until "Rehearsals" arrived.

And it's not that rehearsals "came" to her by chance.

She cherished her success and created it with her own hands when she wrote this series, together with Driggs, and also the play on which it is based.

And it really really worked for her, in every possible sense.

She wrote a good series, and managed to find her a broadcast body that would believe in her and give her a prestigious broadcast slot in prime time, she played it sensitively and honestly, and the audience also saw and understood and loved so much.

And even the big campaigns started flowing in her direction.

Will she have a desire?

Rehearsals brought to our screen an interesting, authentic, funny, smart, vulnerable and powerful female representation.

And it would be so unfair to lose it because of egocentric mistakes or decisions and reports of others.

The boat hit the fan, and when that happens it flies in all directions and hits indiscriminately.

If she just wants to, I believe that Koller has the wisdom and talent to take that pile of shit that landed on her head, courtesy of Driggs and Ben Ari, and turn it into gold.

This is what made "Rehearsals" so wonderful in the first place - the ability to take the miserable and insulting, difficult, sad and unfair moments of life and look at them with such smart and sensitive eyes, process them, write them and present them to us viewers in a way that has quite a bit Compassion - towards the characters and towards the audience as well.

The characters of rehearsals are so flawed, their shortcomings were present from the first minutes of each of them on screen, and yet, I loved each of them and missed them right at the end of the season.

how can you not?

After all that has happened in the last few weeks she may not even have the urge to write another season.

Maybe Koller just wants to get away from this series that was a dizzying success and turned upside down too quickly.

Koller is right.

Creation is not as important as life.

It will not be the end of the world if there is no second season for rehearsals.

But that would be a great pity.

Maybe, in a few months, an idea, the beginning of a sentence of one of the characters or a frame of a scene will still sprout in the collar.

I wish she would sit down in front of the computer and write, until she weaves all that straw into gold.
