Do you know people with an old iPhone?
Very soon WhatsApp will stop supporting the device - according to a report by the blog Wabetainfo, which follows the various versions released by the messaging app to update on expected innovations.
According to the announcement, in the new beta version of Apple's iOS operating system, WhatsApp will finally stop supporting old iPhone versions.
As you may recall, the social network announced the move at the end of the year, so it was reported that the support would be stopped as early as January 1.
So which devices will have to part with WhatsApp?
These are iPhone models with older versions than iOS 9 - that is, an iPhone 4 launched in 2009 and its predecessors.
On the other hand, it is important to note that if you have a newer device but it is running an old version of the operating system, you will need to update the version to use the app.
To check if a software update is available on the iPhone, open the Settings - General - Software Update.
The purpose of the move, according to the company, is to invest the most efforts to improve the application in the latest versions of operating systems.
