With the C5 Aircross hybrid plug-in, Citroen inaugurates the brand's new course towards electrification, a strategy that aims to propose an electrified offer on 100% of the range by 2025. Like the thermal version, the C5 Aircross plug- in has a strong and bold character, in full Citroen style.
Rugged and protective, typically SUV, the C5 Aircross PHEV has a complete customization offer and is offered at a starting price of 42,100 euros (for the Feel version, the Shine is instead available at 43,600 euros).

The bright and welcoming interior of the C5 Aircross hybrid plug-in suv maintains the comfort and well-being characteristics of the thermal versions, offering some specific details.
Specific for this version is the photochromic interior mirror that offers greater distinction and reinforces the technological aspect of the plug-in hybrid mode. It is equipped with a driving indicator in 100% electric mode. In this way, when the vehicle is traveling in Electric mode (ZEV), a blue light comes on under the central rear-view mirror, clearly visible from the outside, which allows it to be identified in circulation as a vehicle traveling in ZEV mode.
The center console also integrates a mode selector, to the right of the automatic gearshift lever, which allows the driver to choose between different drive modes thanks to the combined or separate action of the thermal and electric engines: Electric (ZEV) facilitates silence and fluidity, hybrid for versatility and efficiency, or Sport for dynamism. By default, the management between the electric motor and the heat engine takes place automatically, based on the battery charge level and the requests from the driver.
Unlike the endothermic model, this version also features the 12.3 '' digital display and the central 8 '' Touch Pad with capacitive display that show new graphics and enhance the hybrid technology. Among the peculiarities of the hybrid version, also the new energizing Color Pack, Electric Blue, which represents the plug-in hybrid. This new Color Pack, which features colored inserts in the Airbumps on the front doors and in the lower area of the front bumper, allows customers who want it to stand out. It is added to the existing Color Packs (Silver, White and Red), available on all C5 Aircross engines. The number of possible external combinations thus reaches 39, allowing everyone to choose the car according to their own style. For even more customization, the plug-in version features the "ḧybrid" logo on the tailgate and the "ḧ" symbol on the front wheel arches in Electric Blue. Also on the left side, there is the refill flap, symmetrical with respect to the fuel flap positioned on the right.
In full electric mode, the C5 Aircross plug-in hybrid can travel up to 55 km, all without sacrificing performance (speeds up to 135 km / h).
Furthermore, the specific ë-Save function allows the driver to anticipate his trips and to foresee a reserve of electricity (10 km, 20 km or full battery) to be used when he wishes during his journey, typically in anticipation of crossing an urban center, whether during or at the end of the journey.
On board, the Citroën Advanced Comfort program manages to offer mobility in the ë-Comfort class that allows you to travel with zero emissions, for an absolute fluidity of driving, with immediately available torque.
Equipped with suspension equipped with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions, C5 Aircross hybrid plug-in boasts an efficient engine, with CO2 emissions of 32 g / kmi (WLTP cycle). It is a high-performance engine capable of offering dynamism in every situation, thanks to the combination of a PureTech 180 heat engine compliant with the latest Euro 6 anti-pollution regulations and an 80 kW electric motor installed between the heat engine and the electrified gearbox. EAT8. The battery of the electric motor, 13.2 kWh, is of the High Voltage 200 V lithium ion type. In hybrid mode, the two engines join forces to deliver a total power of 225 hp to the front wheels, optimized fuel consumption and maximum driving pleasure. The torque of 320 Nm is available immediately.
The electrified automatic gearbox ë-EAT8 is an evolution of the EAT8 gearbox with optimized insertions thanks to the multi-plate wet clutch, which further emphasizes smoothness and driving pleasure.
At the wheel of the C5 Aircross Hybrid everything remains within reach and the big difference, once on the road, is that you can also choose between the hybrid modes, which allows you to perceive the thrust of the two engines in acceleration and overtaking, in addition to the ZEV mode (i.e. exclusively electric) which in the center of a city (in our case in Milan), allows you to circulate also in Area C. The EAT8 automatic transmission, with eight speeds, is precise and makes the gait homogeneous and without jerks. The paddles are functional, even if they are attached to the steering column and not the steering wheel. Overall, the typical comfort of the Frenchwoman remains unchanged, not afraid of bumps, tram tracks or city pavers, thanks also to the suspensions with progressive hydraulic dampers. Like a real family SUV, even the habitability and load capacity.
The cockpit is finished in elegant details and the infotainment system has an immediate response, both in city navigation and in intuitive applications that do not require too many distractions to be selected.
The Mirror Screen function with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also functional for comfort.
