Lynk & Co, the brand of the Geely Group which, thanks to a close relationship with Volvo, is bringing the new hybrid or plug-in hybrid suv 01 to European roads. As already announced, the first disruptive feature - not to use the term 'disruptive' - is the fact that the Lynk & Co 01 will initially be usable only through access fees to the Lynk & Co Club (the first two are already open in Amsterdam and Gothenburg) with a minimum cut of 30 days, at the price all inclusive of 500 euros / month.

Lynk & Co 01, the first remote contact on the streets of Gothenburg

The other revolution, which Ansa Motori has experienced today, is that of the first virtual road test, with the journalist who works remotely and a driver / guide (the very kind Cecilia Hedlund) driving the car, literally surrounded by cameras and microphones.

"The manufacturers have always invited journalists to one of the most sacred events in the automotive industry: the test drive - they specify to Lynk & Co - But with the rapid changes imposed by Covid on the way we live, Lynk & Co accepted the challenge of revolutionizing the test drive to be more sustainable, responsible and accessible ".

So today, in a sort of videochat without a background library - but with the views of the port of an unusually sunny Gothenburg as the setting for the event - we got (virtually on board) a 01 HEV SUV, that is, equipped with a petrol engine 1.5 electrified with hybrid system not rechargeable from the mains.

The new Lynk & Co 01 is also available in a pulg-in hybrid configuration, with superior power and a 100% electric range of 69 km.

Without prejudice to this possibility of choice - in addition to the color which can be blue or black - the suv 01 will soon arrive in Milan, at the Lynk & Co Clubs, in a single configuration, without having to choose additional components, paid features and customizations.

The philosophy of the Sino-Swedish company is to include absolutely everything in the monthly fee.

Each 01 will be equipped with: panoramic sunroof, metallic paint, electric tailgate, premium stereo, navigation system, sharing functionality, digital key with functionality through the App, adaptive cruise control, wireless phone charging.

For Lynk & Co, belonging replaces ownership, allowing a completely new way of using a car, in total flexibility, through subscription to a premium level of mobility.

The car can be easily shared with family and friends - thanks to the use of the smartphone as a key - but also with the Lynk & Co community.

Making it available when it would remain stationary in the garage or next to the curb for one specific sharing service you get a reduction in the monthly fee.

The subscription includes insurance, maintenance and support 24/7 and also includes the collection of the car for maintenance so that the members of the 'club' never have to waste time on these tasks.

But Link & Co 01 can also be purchased: the price of 36 thousand euros for the hybrid and 40,700 for the plug-in includes practically everything.

No negotiations as there are no extras.

Also in this case, the customer can take advantage of an integrated car sharing platform, a digital key, complete connectivity functions and apps to use in the car.

The guarantee is always included and Link & Co can help the customer get good insurance at a fair price.

the new suv 01 shares the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform of the Volvo XC40, it is 4.541 m long, 1.857 wide and 1.686 high with a wheelbase of 2.735 m which ensures good interior habitability.

As in the XC40, the heat engine is a 3-cylinder 1.5 which, together with the electrical section enslaved by a lithium-ion battery (1.8 and 17.6 kWh respectively for HEV and PHEV) delivers 195 Hp in the first case and in the second , thanks to the more powerful battery, 257 Hp.
