In recent years, the gaming category has been on the rise, and if that is not enough, closures around the world have managed to bounce the category valued at about $ 138 billion.

The gaming industry enjoys continuous growth that leads the major manufacturers to provide a solution to an audience that is willing to pay to get advanced and quality hardware.

Among these companies, one can find AOC, the technology giant from Taipei that in recent years has commissioned a series of advanced gaming screens.

These are advanced screens, some of which include the latest technologies and even groundbreaking ones, while the prices are relatively accessible in the premium category, where you can easily price any product at double the price, just thanks to the title "Gaming".

We tested the AOC's C27G2AE screen (yes, the name is not catchy), which claims to bring advanced qualities and at a relatively sane price.

Speaking of which, solid and relevant

From time immemorial, the red color in vehicles is a "speed" sign, when the RPM gauge strains and reaches the red scale, meaning the vehicle accelerates and leaps forward, or it does not drag uphill if you drive a slow vehicle and ascend the Dead Sea. The use of red has also traveled the world The gaming, and the 27-inch screen, combat-designed, with a stand with three legs, delicately painted in red.The panel is extremely thin and the screen-frame ratio is fantastic, you will not yet find the logo here, and it's good that way. Blades, which is another advantage for me.The design is solid and elegant with the screen itself gently curved, and with contours that imply "gaming" and not shout it, similar to the Korean competitor.

Support for AMD FreeSync technology and a relatively limited supply of connections

The screen comes with AMD Freesync technology when it does not support Nvidia's G-sync.

These are two technologies designed to provide smoother viewing and gaming experiences, especially in fast-motion situations.

If you will, these are the first technologies that finally connect between the screen and the video card as well.

However, to enjoy the technology you will need to purchase an AMD video card, which is less common in Israel, with most consumers still tending to and prefer Nvidia.

On its back you can find a relatively limited supply of connections: a speaker, an unnecessary, outdated VGA connection, a DisplayPort connection and two HDMI connections.

You will not find here USB sockets like in his big brother, and a bit of a pity.

However, you probably would not use all the USB connections that the screen can offer anyway, not when it comes to an audience of gaming products, and less so that one that makes office uses and is looking for a moment to charge the smartphone through the computer, or alternatively connect the laptop via Type-C.

The importer of AOC went all out, and began marketing a wide range of models in Israel, the most powerful of which comes with a response time of 0.5 milliseconds and a refresh rate of 240 Hz.

However, we got the company’s “least” good screen, which comes with a response time of 1 millisecond and a refresh rate of 160 Hz.

The panel of the screen comes in VA and not IPS, thinking of a fast refresh rate and higher contrast.

However, it also has drawbacks: viewing angles and color gamut.

When it comes to viewing angles, the screen is concave, which solves this "problem", and on the other hand the company provides a wide range of profiles like racing, FPS, RTS and two custom modes.

In practice, you get a great, sharp viewing experience, with good colors, and in every game mode, you get a custom color calibration.

The gaming experience with the AOC screen is phenomenal, even without the use of AMD's FreeSync.

Whether you are playing with a non-gaming screen, or one with a slower refresh rate, and a response time of more than 1 millisecond, you feel the difference right away.

To test the difference drastically, I took on the one hand an office screen and on the other hand the AOC gaming screen and the difference stood out exceptionally.

Whether you are an amateur or professional gamer alike, the AOC screen will significantly enhance the gaming experience, making you wonder how you have not used this screen before.

Bottom line

You can purchase the screen for NIS 2,249 at Dynamica or NIS 2,259 at Bug and selected importers.

For an additional NIS 200, you can upgrade and enjoy the company's formidable screen that offers a response time of 0.5 milliseconds and a refresh rate of 244 Hz.

In my opinion, the differences are so small that the edge screen will provide a better return for a minor gap.

This is one of the best gaming screens you can find today, without a lot of devines, and without a lot of "bling bling".

Finally, a company that simply provides good hardware and without excessive decor.
