Three years later, the alleged perpetrator of the rape of a young Swedish woman in Marseille in December 2017, a man posing as a rapper, was arrested and placed in police custody, the Marseille prosecutor announced on Thursday (Bouches -du-Rhône).
The man was arrested on March 2, during a control at the Spanish border.
Summoned to the investigators, he denied the facts of rape, but his DNA corresponds well to that identified thanks to the sperm found on the victim after his assault on December 24, 2017.
The 20-year-old young woman had been raped during her stay in Marseille, where she had come to find her family.
She had quickly identified her attacker through social networks, where the man "introduced himself under his name as a rap musician".
But the investigators therefore took more than three years before being able to find his trace, at the beginning of the month.
In his press release, Dominique Laurens gives neither the age nor the identity of the man.
Likewise, it is not specified whether he enjoys a certain notoriety in the rap world.
