The SPD parliamentary group calls for general practitioners to be involved in vaccinations in corona hotspots.
"If we want to use the vaccination turbo, there is no way around the general practitioners and specialists," said health policy spokeswoman Sabine Dittmar of the "Augsburger Allgemeine".
In areas with a high incidence in particular, it makes perfect sense to involve outpatient practices.
"Doctors in private practice could easily inoculate the entire vaccine in stock within a few days," says Dittmar.
"No registration would be necessary for this, since appointments are most sensibly made directly and as usual in the doctor's office and the prioritization specifications in these extremely affected regions can be deviated from."
Lindner demands vaccination guarantee until the summer vacation

FDP leader Christian Lindner has asked the federal government to give citizens a guarantee for a first Corona vaccination by the beginning of the summer vacation.
But there must be tangible results at the vaccination summit of Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the state heads of government next Wednesday.
"In particular, I expect the vaccination to be carried out more quickly via general practitioners, specialists and company doctors," Lindner told the dpa news agency.
Merkel had spoken of the fact that all adults should be offered a vaccination by the end of the calendar summer on September 21.
