Four people were arrested in the investigation into the assault of a 16-year-old high school student who had received several stab wounds in November in Avrillé (Maine-et-Loire), the Angers prosecutor said on Tuesday. Eric Bouillard.
According to Ouest-France, these are three minors and a young adult.
"The people were arrested this morning and have a link with the facts which occurred in November, which seem to be part of an antagonism between groups of young people", declared the magistrate.
Several arrests took place in the Roseraie district in Angers, according to the regional daily.
"The custody of these four people is extended until tomorrow," he added.
On November 13, in Avrillé, a town adjacent to Angers, a car stopped in front of the teenager near the Paul-Emile-Victor vocational school.
Individuals had come out and had stabbed and wounded the young man six times with a knife, in particular in the back and the abdomen.
They then fled.
The high school student had been taken care of in absolute emergency.
The Angers judicial police had been seized of the investigation.
