Another achievement for the US space agency:

 Last night (Wednesday) NASA released a new recording of the space vehicle Perseverance, which landed on Mars last month. This is a 16-minute sound clip in which the robot can be heard moving 27 meters on the ground in a crater Gerso.

It is important to note that unlike vehicles on Earth that travel on rubber wheels, the lander moves on metal wheels.

Senior engineer Wendy and Rama, who is responsible, among other things, for moving the vehicle, said that "the movement on metal wheels on the planet is a very noisy thing."

Meanwhile, the team members congratulated on the success of the mission with excitement.

"If I had heard these noises in my vehicle on Earth I would have stopped and called to tow," said Dave Gruel, chief engineer of the spacecraft's subsystems, adding: - It makes sense".

Beyond the traffic in the crater, the vehicle crew was looking for a suitable spot where it would be possible to allow the small helicopter installed on the Rover to take off and survey the surroundings.

Now, a suitable spot has been found and the helicopter is scheduled to perform five test flights to test its capabilities.

After these test flights that will test the communication between the helicopter and the vehicle and the capabilities of the two tools to work together, most of Rover Space's research will begin, whose job it is to identify fossils or evidence that they once lived on Mars.

In fact, the vehicle will move over areas that scientists will identify as having previously had water and will examine it using 19 cameras, including two microphones.

According to NASA, this will be a study in which the vehicle will use all the technological and scientific capabilities contained in it and it will send to Earth a lot of visual and sonic information for the researchers.

In this respect, surface noises like the photographs are not just a gimmick but a real test of the scientists' abilities of the research tool towards the main goal: to identify signs of life presence on the planet, past or present;

Investigate climate, geology and history, examine technologies that will allow humans to land and collect specimens in order to bring them to Earth for the first time.
