After a night of riots of a rare magnitude in the prefecture of Loir-et-Cher, the following night was quieter: no major incident was noted Wednesday evening in Blois, according to a police source.
Only an arrest took place, and a Bac car received small projectiles.
Police officers also seized a can full of gasoline in a cellar, noted an AFP journalist.
In connection with the Ministry of the Interior, the police had been deployed in large numbers in the northern district of Blois, in order to avoid a second night of violence.
"There has never been a deployment of this magnitude," said the prefect of Loir-et-Cher, François Pesneau, on Wednesday evening.
