Thirty years of imprisonment had been required. The defense lawyer highlighted the bipolarity of her client.

She is convicted of the murder of her two daughters aged 4 and 9 in 2018. Nina Razanadravao, 39, was sentenced Friday to twenty years of criminal imprisonment by the Assize Court of Loir-et-Cher.

A sentence of thirty years of imprisonment was requested a little earlier by the Advocate General, Frédéric Chevallier, who assured to have taken into account the alteration of the discernment exposed by the psychiatrist expert.

"You will not condemn a madwoman or a monster, but a human being who has committed monstrous acts!"

», Launched the magistrate to the jurors.

The defense lawyer, Me Schéhérazade Bougrara, said she was "satisfied with the sentence".

“It is justified in view of the personality and the disorders that my client had at the time of the facts.

The jurors have taken into account the alteration of his discernment, ”she said.

“It's our children!

I don't know what I did ”

During his plea, Me Bougrara asked the jurors not to follow the prosecution's requisitions.

According to her, her client "diagnosed with bipolar" presented "a frank depressive state" which led her to commit, on April 1, 2018, in Gault-du-Perche (Loir-et-Cher), "this monstrous act".

She asked for "a fair sentence" allowing "redemption and a future" for her client.

In the box, in tears, the latter addressed her ex-husband, also in tears.

" I am sorry !

Sorry !

Sorry Christian.

It's our children!

I don't know what I did.

Sorry from the bottom of my heart to my friends!

She said.

The three days of the trial were marked by the testimony of the ex-husband, still in shock.

The fisherman related with emotion this Sunday morning when he discovered a thick smoke which emanated from his house, then the body of his daughter-in-law, dead lying on her bed, and that of her daughter, evacuated by the rescuers , who could not do anything to save her.

"I want a strong sanction, it will relieve me to know her behind bars for a long time," he said at the helm.

Nina Razanadravao was 27 when she married her first husband, living in Loir-et-Cher.

They had met in Madagascar, before getting married in France and then divorced.

His first daughter was born from this union.

In early 2013, she met the father of her youngest daughter, a fisherman living in Gault-du-Perche.

The child was born in 2014 before the couple began divorce proceedings in 2017.
