How to manually update the winter time on a smartphone (Walla! News system)
Our smartphones are smart enough to show us the time, but we have all been out, at least once in a lifetime, to wake up late in the morning and find that our alarm clock has not rung or that the clock is not set at all.
Today (Thursday) Israel is moving to daylight saving time and we will all lose an hour of sleep when the hands of the clock move one hour forward.
Daylight saving time will last until Sunday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m.
The cellular networks, for example, offer to back up important events of the calendar on smartphones, because there may be disruptions in the alerts (an alert for a meeting of 8:00 in the morning will operate at 9:00, etc.).

Most of us enjoy an automatic update of the clock according to our time zone, it is not certain that the update for daylight saving time will take effect, so it is recommended - if you want to get up on time and not miss a work hour - to update the time manually.
During the day it will be possible to return the automatic update without any worries.
Whether you have an iPhone or an Android device, you can move the time on your smartphone.
Android
Go to the Settings menu and look for the "Date and Time" option in the list.
Once logged in, turn off the "Automatic Date and Time" option.
Select the correct time zone and then the desired time.
Since there are quite a few different types of Android operating system and countless versions, the menus may be slightly different from each other.
If you do not find the date and time update menu, it is probably hidden inside another menu.
Look for "More Options" in the menu and you will probably find what you are looking for there.

iPhone
To manually update the time in the iOS operating system, enter the Settings menu and select "General".
Now from the displayed options click on "Date & Time" and turn off the "Set Automatically" switch.
