The Versailles public prosecutor's office (Yvelines) on Tuesday requested three years' imprisonment, including two years with a suspended sentence, against a former CEO of Ikea France, prosecuted for ordering the establishment of an illegal surveillance system several hundred employees or candidates for hiring in the company.
"I want a sentence that marks the life of Jean-Louis Baillot", explained the prosecutor Paméla Tabardel in court, affirming that the "policy initiated" by the former official had affected the lives of nearly 400 employees having made the 'subject to "private inquiries" between 2009 and 2012.

Since March 22, Ikea France and fifteen people, including two former CEOs, police officers and the boss of a private security company are on trial for illegally collecting police information on employees and customers.
