Two octogenarians, a man and his wife, were found dead Friday in Val, near Brignoles, we learned from the Draguignan prosecutor's office, which evokes the possibility of a murder of the woman followed by a suicide of the husband.
"This couple was not doing well and they both had serious health problems a priori", explains to AFP the prosecutor of the Republic of Draguignan, Patrice Cambérou, confirming information from France Bleu Provence.
The first findings suggest that the 87-year-old man fired several shots at his wife, before turning the gun on him.
Autopsies will have to confirm it, adds the prosecutor.

The alert was given by a nurse, who came to provide them with care and who found the door closed.
Gendarmes and criminal investigation technicians went to the home to investigate the circumstances of the tragedy.
