Hot has announced a huge move in the communications world - already in the coming months, hundreds of thousands of customers will be upgraded to a speed of 500 megabytes at no extra charge.
The upgrade comes as part of the launch of the company's fiber optic system in Israel.
Fiber optics will offer customers download speeds of up to 1,000 megabytes and upload speeds of up to 100 megabytes in places where the IBC fiber network is deployed, and you can check right now if your home is connected to infrastructure.
Bhut shared that there are 600,000 households, which can already connect to the fiber service.
On top of that, the company completely eliminates the 100MB package it has offered to date, so the browsing speed in the cheapest package will stand at 200MB.
"We are opening a new decade in the world of infrastructure in Israel. From today, the standard of surfing in Israel is going to change," said Tal Granot Goldstein, CEO of the company, this morning (Monday). No extra charge as part of the fiber transition, with the deployment expected to reach over two million households by the end of 2025. It is important to note that the upgrade is automatically available to customers with a compatible router, while the rest will have to call the service center and upgrade to appropriate equipment.

The cost of the new fiber package with a speed of up to 1,000 megabytes is NIS 119 for 3 months, after which the price will increase to NIS 149 per month.
In addition, customers will pay about NIS 15 per month for installation for 36 months and about NIS 20 per month for renting the appropriate modem.
So in fact, the cost of the entire package is expected to be about NIS 184 per month for the infrastructure and the supplier, similar to Bezeq.
At competitors in the wholesale market, Cellcom and Partner, you will find a similar offer, but at a lower cost of about NIS 120 per month.
Hot will also offer a 500-megabyte surfing package at a monthly cost of NIS 129 per month, while in the first three months, customers will enjoy a discount of about NIS 30.

In addition, the company's fiber customers only, are expected to get a new TV interface that does not require a converter.
This means that users will be able to download the new HOT TV app directly to the smart TV, and watch live broadcasts and VOD as usual, along with other features such as binge watching and cloud recordings.
On the other hand, customers who use the non-Hot fiber infrastructure will have to continue using the company's regular converters, or alternatively the Next app.
The cost of the new triple package with a speed of up to 1,000 megabytes with the optical fibers will be NIS 199 per month for three months, after which the price will increase to NIS 339 per month.
The prices of installation and rental of the equipment will remain the same.
At the same time, the company also launched a series of new products, led by the new hotbox router.
In addition to connecting to the fiber optics, the new router will also come with an app developed in Hot, which will allow full management of the devices connected to the home network.
Like Bezeq, Hot is also expected to sell new range extenders in the WiFi 6 AX standard, which will allow for good reception and higher browsing speed throughout the house.
Another hottie also unveiled a new streamer converter, which will allow viewing hot content with the new design even on non-smart TVs.
It is also a solution for older customers, as the converter will come with a remote similar to the one that exists in the company's previous converters.
The new streamer will run on the Android TV operating system, which will allow the installation of other applications besides that of Hot.
