Police officers break up parties in several federal states

6.15 a.m.:

The police have ended illegal parties in several federal states.

Several dozen people celebrated on Sunday night - despite strict Corona rules that prohibit this.

For example, the officials in Vallendar, Rhineland-Palatinate, broke up a celebration in a parking garage.

The party guests wore white clothes and had fluorescent paint on their faces.

In addition, a lot of alcohol was stored in an adjoining room.

When they saw the officers, some of the celebrants fled.

24 people could be controlled.

The police also had to intervene in Vilseck in Upper Palatinate.

More than 30 party guests were caught red-handed in a private home.

There were other controls in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

At two parties in Ramin and Eggesin, the officers discovered a total of 27 people.

Advertisements are now being sent to all celebrants.

Counties against federal emergency brake

5.50 a.m.:

The German districts strongly condemn the plans to standardize the corona protective measures.

"The present draft is a vote of no confidence in the federal states and municipalities," said district council president Reinhard Sager to the newspapers of the Funke media group.

"With this, the federal government is leaving the mode of joint crisis management and wants to order effective measures directly on site." It is doubtful whether these measures could break the third wave, "as generalized action is not sufficiently accurate in a pandemic that is very different from one location to the next . "

Travel bookings for the summer fell by two thirds

03.29 a.m.:

In view of the corona pandemic, travel bookings for the summer season have decreased by two thirds, according to the Federal Association of the German Tourism

Industry

.

The bookings are measured in terms of sales by 76 percent below the figures for the same period last year, said association president Michael Frenzel of the "Welt am Sonntag".

In the spring there were even more cancellations than bookings.

Most Germans apparently only expected an improved corona situation in the third quarter.

The decline in bookings for September and October is lower than in the previous summer months, said Frenzel.

Labor minister wants to introduce compulsory testing for companies

00:58:

Federal Labor

Minister

Hubertus Heil (SPD) wants to enforce a corona test obligation for companies across Germany in the cabinet on Tuesday - although the Union has so far rejected such an obligation.

»Everyone must now do their part in the fight against Corona, including the world of work.

In order to protect those who cannot work from home, we need comprehensive tests in the factories, "Heil told" Bild am Sonntag ".

"I want us to decide that on Tuesday in the federal government."

A survey of employees commissioned by the federal government showed that 61 percent currently have an employer who offers corona tests.

»40 percent of employees do not receive any test offers from their employers.

That is why we have to oblige business to make test offers to employees in a simple and unbureaucratic manner.

Because testing protects the employees and keeps the companies open, "said Heil.
