Has Facebook reduced network traffic to network anchor posts from the right side of the political map?
This suspicion arose over the past weekend, after right-wing network leaders, including MK Galit Distel Atbrian, Hatzal, Yair Netanyahu and others, indicated that they felt a decrease in responses and the number of "like" signs for their posts.
That is, the exposure of the publications and their visibility on the social network was reduced, when the common denominator for all of them was that they belonged to the right side of the political map.
For example, on Shadow's popular Facebook page, he wrote: "This is a post farewell, goodbye my brothers, it was nice. We had a good time but I have to go. I do not leave far and not forever but if I am not wanted then I will not stay in power. Holocaust Day, Facebook completely eliminated the distribution of my page and lowered it to the distribution of a page with 1,000 followers under pressure (I realized I was not the only one.) So until I see what goes on, I stop posting on the page. Whoever searches for me, I'm on Instagram and Telegram. "Once to check if the traffic was back, but until then - there was peace, Paisland!"
MK Galit Distal Atbrian wrote on her Facebook page: "On the occasion of my swearing in to the Knesset, Facebook decided to reduce my exposure to almost zero. From = 2,000 likes per hour and 4,000 likes to average status I am currently scratching the bottom of 200. I will overcome this through "Other networks, that's not the problem. What's really annoying here is the position and motivation. I write it almost to myself, in any case it will reach almost none of my 73,000 followers."
Yair Netanyahu, the son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, also felt a decrease in the number of followers, and wrote: "In light of Facebook's insane censorship of all right - wingers on the network, including me, now more than ever it is important that you follow me on the telegram as well!"
These publications caused a huge uproar and a great deal of discussion among right-wing fans and right-wing groups on social media and also on Facebook itself, with many voices calling for a boycott of the platform and its abandonment against the background of what they called "mouth-clogging."
On the other hand, Facebook denied the allegations, claiming that it was a global malfunction that cut the exposure of many accounts around the world regardless of their positions.
"This was a global malfunction that was fixed and not related to the pages in Israel, or to one type of page or another," the company said in a statement.
