The reception did not last long.
A "clandestine" party bringing together more than a hundred people was interrupted on the heights of Bastia, in the night from Saturday to Sunday, by the intervention of the gendarmes.
The soldiers were greeted by projectiles, according to the prefecture of Haute-Corse.
On their arrival, they were "victims of throwing bottles and a jet of Molotov cocktail", by the revelers, some of whom were "drunk".
About 130 people were fined and one person placed in police custody, added the prefecture, which specifies that among the participants were minors.
The party organized in a building for animals difficult to access in the village of Vescovato, about thirty kilometers from Bastia, was "obviously not organized unexpectedly" since hi-fi equipment was seized by the gendarmes.
Isolate yourself for 7 days and perform a PCR test
In a press release, "the prefect once again condemns these serious and irresponsible behavior".
He calls on people to self-isolate for seven days and then to perform a PCR test at the end of their quarantine.
