A third territorialized deconfinement?
This is the hypothesis mentioned by Olivier Véran in an interview with the local newspaper Le Télégramme on Monday, April 19.
The Minister of Health said he was "
open to the idea of a territory-by-territory approach in lifting the braking measures
", as he was "in
favor of when they were put in place
".

As if to justify his speech, the Minister of Health reports a "
decrease in the epidemic
" for "
five days
": "
There are fewer new cases on a daily basis: we had risen to 40,000, we are today around 33,000 cases
”on average.
An optimistic vision, counterbalanced by a call for caution:
“This reduction remains fragile: we are still at a very high level of the epidemic and the descent is not yet sufficiently rapid and clear.
We must continue our efforts. ”
In critical care services, 5,970 patients are still hospitalized on Tuesday.
A "serene, but vigilant summer"
"Rather than a quantified objective, what matters to me is that we can resume the unscheduled operations as quickly as possible, to treat patients who do not have the Covid in the best conditions,"
said Olivier. Véran to the Breton media, thus ignoring the objective of 5,000 contaminations per day, which was to be the sine qua non for a reopening of the country during the second confinement.

The Minister of Health also recalled the deconfinement calendar: “
on April 26, the reopening of face-to-face schools;
on May 3, the reopening of face-to-face colleges and high schools;
and we can then consider a number of measures to be eased from mid-May.
"He hopes for a"
serene but vigilant summer, like that of last year.
May the French be able to regain as much freedom as possible.
"
Finally, concerning vaccination, Olivier Véran mentions "
350,000 French people
(vaccinated)
every day, the equivalent of a department
", and "
invites the French to be vaccinated with all available vaccines, including AstraZeneca
", very decried.
