About a month ago we reported the expected update to WhatsApp that will help with one of the most annoying “issues” on the platform: voicemails.

The WABetainfo website reported that the new feature will allow voice messages to be listened to at a higher speed.

Now, the site reports that the update has been released to beta users, a program that anyone can join.

The release of WhatsApp to beta users, a program open to the general public, suggests that the update is expected to reach all users very soon.

The hidden feature was discovered in the beta version of Android (2.21.6.11), and at this point it is not clear if it will also be available for the iPhone immediately at launch, or if it will be launched at all.

Some users have found that when you click on the image next to the voicemail, you can change the speed of the voicemail up to 2 times.

It was also discovered that WhatsApp will allow you to have a conversation with the support center from within the app, and will even make a change to the "archive" category.

So far, every archived call has returned to the call screen while the recipient has sent a message, while soon every call you archive will remain there, even when a message is received.

This is how you will join the beta version

For Android users

: Go to the app store and search for the WhatsApp app there. On the app page, scroll down until you find the "Become a Beta Tester" option. Click on the green button and mark that you want to participate in the company's experimental program. After a few minutes, the beta version will arrive on your device just like any regular update of the app.

For iPhone users

: In order to sign up for the WhatsApp beta program, first download the "TestFlight" app, which is available in the app store.

This is the official app of Apple for downloading beta versions and apps that have not yet been uploaded to the app store.

Then, go to the following link [https://testflight.apple.com/join/s4rTJVPb] via iPhone and sign up for the beta program.

As of this writing, the beta is currently full, but space can be freed up at any time.

Apple explains: "If you have the official version of WhatsApp from the app store, the beta version will replace it. After you download the beta version, an orange dot will appear next to the app name on the home screen to identify that it is an experimental version."

If you have been notified that the places in the beta program have run out, do not despair and try to check again on another day.

The app developers can allow new users to join at any moment and there are quite a few users who leave the program themselves in order to return to the official and stable version, thus making room for others.
