Apple's new iPad Pro (Apple)

Do you sell second hand products?

Beware of the new scam that has already allegedly harmed 27 people.

"Hey friends, unfortunately I experienced an iPad scam. Someone 'bought' the device from me 'made' me a bank transfer, sent a ceremonial divorce to collect my iPad and the money did not pass," Adi Moissa wrote in the "Applists" group on Facebook.

"I am a dental student in Tel Aviv and of course it is a loss of a considerable amount for me," she added.

"His number is now blocked and I have already filed a complaint with the police. The serial number of the iPad air 4 model 2020 A2316, series: GG7DM86JQ16P," Moissa added in the post.

After publishing the case, Moissa found that 27 people had been stung by the same method, with the seller sending a bank transfer notice, with the same reference number to all 27 stingers.

"I realized that there were 27 other people who were stung and injured by the same seller. They received the same reference number. Moissa also says that the seller probably came to her from one of the sites where used products are offered for sale. It should be noted that a bank transfer is made the next business day. The buyer has already disappeared with the product.

This way you will avoid fraud when selling used products

First, meet with the seller and do not make deliveries until the money is in your account.

Do not rely on a bank transfer reflected in the account only the next day.

If it is a large purchase, a "gold transfer" can be made, a quick transfer that can be seen in the account within a few minutes.

It is also possible to make a transfer using one of the payment transfer apps, but even there you must be careful that in the end it is not a stolen credit.

That is, the best and safest way is to require the buyer to pay in cash.

Even if it is a sale of an Apple product, you can block it by sending the original invoice to Apple, claiming that it has been stolen.

This way the iPad will lock as soon as it is connected to the wireless internet, and they will not be able to use it at all.
