Spotify and Facebook today (Monday) launched a new mini-player that will allow users to listen to music and podcasts directly within the Facebook app, iOS and Android without switching between apps.

Israel is one of the 27 countries where the player is available starting today.

"The mini-player experience is designed to enhance the way users share content," Spotify said.

How It Works?

Choose a song or podcast from Spotify - click "Share" - and then select the Facebook icon with the caption "News Feed".

Now, your friends on the social network will be able to listen to the content you have shared.

Premium subscribers to the streaming service can enjoy playback directly from Spotify, and other users will be able to enjoy the feature while listening to music on Shuffle accompanied by commercials. In addition to streaming via the mini-player, users will also be able to listen to songs through posts from verified accounts of artists on Facebook and even through video in the Facebook feed which contains copyrighted music.
