Buenos Aires, Argentina

The moon provides spectacular images worldwide: It looks gigantic, like here over the southern bank of the Rio de la Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Caracas, Venezuela

The super moon is called »Pink Moon«.

But only occasionally, like here in Venezuela, does it live up to its name.

Most of the time, the moon is not as pink as you can see here.

Santiago, Chile

But everywhere the moon looks brighter and bigger than usual. The cause: It is particularly close to the earth at the moment.

New York City, New York / USA

The »Pink Moon« climbs over the Manhattan skyline in fast motion.

Sydney, Australia

Before that, he pulled over the bathers on Bondi Beach.

Istanbul, Turkey / Moscow, Russia

The "Pink Moon" is one of two super moons in 2021. In April, the natural spectacle can be observed for three days - until Wednesday morning there is the opportunity to experience it again in full radiance.

Stuttgart / Berlin

It was most clearly visible over Germany around 5.30 a.m.

There it was at 357,310 kilometers near the earth - and the full moon phase was reached here.

Anyone who missed the natural spectacle this time has another opportunity this year: on May 26th a super moon will shine again - then under the name »Flower Moon«.
