About a week after the announcement event, last night (Monday), Apple released an update of versions for the new operating systems for mobile devices - iOS 14.5 for iPhones and 14.5 iPadOS for iPads.

How to update?
There are usually no glitches in switching between versions, but you better always be prepared and make sure first that all your information is backed up in iCloud (Apple's cloud storage service).
All you have to do is log in to the Settings app, click on "General", from there go to "Software Update" and confirm the download of the new update.
After a download that may take many minutes, the device will offer you to install the operating system.
If you are edited, click "Install".
It will then reboot - turn off and on - and at the end you will be required to type the password for the device manually.
What's new?
Unlocking the iPhone with Apple Watch:
From now on, when you wear a face mask, you can unlock the iPhone (model X and above) using the company's smartwatch, the third generation model and above.
AirTag:
Ahead of the launch of the AirTag smart tag, which the company announced last week, the new version will allow the product to be connected to the device - and track important items such as keys, wallet, bag and more, privately and securely through the Find מצא application.
Emoji:
The iOS 14.5 update brings support for separate skin tones for each character in all emoji versions of kissing couples and couples with hearts, alongside new faces, hearts and women with beards.
Privacy:
Now, as part of strengthening privacy, Apple has added the "Application Tracking Transparency" feature, which will allow you to determine which applications will be allowed to track your activity on other companies' applications and websites for advertising or data sharing with information merchants.
Apple Music:
Added the ability to share lyrics of favorite songs through "Messages", Facebook and Instagram Stories, alongside the release of the "Popular in World Cities" playlist, which includes the most popular songs from more than 100 cities around the world.
Podcasts:
"Program Pages" have been redesigned, adding the option to save and download episodes, and automatically download episodes to the library for quick access, along with the option to customize the download options and update settings for each program individually.
Additional enhancements
: Starting with the new version iPhone and iPad devices will support the Xbox Series X and S or PlayStation 5 wireless controller. Also, the update fixes the issue for some users, the "Mail" application did not load new emails until the device launches Re- and cases where the Airfoods headphones routed audio back to the wrong device in automatic replacement.
Battery life on iPhone 11
iOS 14.5 includes an update in which the battery health reporting system will recalibrate the maximum battery capacity and peak performance capability of iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max in response to inaccuracies in battery health reports assessments in some users.
After re-calibration is completed, the maximum capacity percentage and peak performance capability are updated.
